That’s why we are proud to offer an innovative solution that allows survivors of domestic and sexual violence to bring their beloved pets to safety with them at our safe haven. Our onsite pet kennel is designed to provide a secure, nurturing environment for your furry friends, so you can focus on your own healing journey without having to make the difficult choice between your well-being and theirs.
A Home Away from Home for Pets: Our pet kennel is thoughtfully designed to ensure the comfort and well-being of your pets. We provide a cozy and safe space where animals can relax, play, and receive the care they need. Our dedicated staff members are trained to cater to various pet needs, ensuring that your four-legged companions feel at ease and loved.
Breaking Barriers to Safety: Often, the fear of leaving a dangerous situation is heightened when pets are involved. We recognize the emotional bond between survivors and their pets and are committed to breaking down these barriers to safety. Our pet kennel ensures that your pets are safe, nearby, and well cared for while you focus on your own recovery.

How our Animal Shelter works:
- Residents are able to bring their pets to our emergency shelter and house them in Paw Haven. A fully equipped indoor/outdoor kennel.
- Hope Haven works to assist residents/clients with food and toys for their animals. We cannot guarantee food 24/7 for animals, but we do our best to provide it at little to no cost when we are able to.
- Hope Haven partners with local veterinarians in the community to provide vaccinations for a resident or client’s animals.
